Julia NigroPersonal Trainer Certification, American Council on Exercise Orthopedic Exercise Specialist Certification, American Council on Exercise Functional Aging Specialist, Functional Aging Institute Bachelor of Science & Bachelor of Arts, Regis University, Denver, Colorado
My first introduction to the world of competitive athletics was dance at the age of 4 years-old. Soon to follow were gymnastics (my main sport!), basketball, soccer, golf, and horseback riding. Several small injuries and a final knee injury ended competitive sports. However, my love of physical activity never waned. During college, I taught aerobics and weight training classes. After much travel and some time in Corporate America I made the leap into what I am passionate about – inspiring people to get keep moving! I don’t subscribe to what the convention tells us healthy looks like, rather how a balanced life makes an individual feel. My belief is that our health is a confluence of physical and mental wellness. Both aspects are directly affected by exercise and nutrition throughout our lives. I am thrilled and honored to be the Fitness Coordinator of The Yards Athletic Club. In addition to my position at The Yards I Personal Train focusing on functional aging, teach a variety of cardio, weight training and functional movement style classes. Other areas close to my heart include art, environmental consciousness, supporting local business and community, organic farming, holistic health, abolishing hunger in children, travel and laughing.
Bree FausnaughtPersonal Trainer Certification, National Academy of Sports Medicine
Born in Kansas, raised in North Carolina, Bree has the perfect mix of Southern hospitality and Midwestern charm. Her fitness journey began at the tender age of 6 when her mother enrolled her in her first ever dance class at Techniques in Motion Dance Studio, where she spent the next 11 years building a passion for the arts as well as physical fitness. In 2015, Bree moved to Kansas City and developed a love of all things health and fitness related. Starting off slow, she networked with top fitness professionals in the area before deciding to enroll at the National Academy of Sports Medicine where she obtained her Certified Personal Training license in July 2017. In addition to her current certification, Bree is consistently continuing her education and adding on to her credentials to amplify her knowledge of fitness.
When Bree is not changing lives on the gym floor, she is also a nationally qualified NPC bikini competitor and a veteran member of KC Physiques, one of the largest competitive bodybuilding teams in Kansas City. Having the knowledge of just how important nutrition and physical fitness are, Bree calls upon past professional and personal experiences in the fitness field to help you achieve your best life both mentally and physically.
