The Yards Walk Club
Finally the warm days of spring are upon us! This offers the perfect opportunity to get outside and take a walk. May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, and The Yards wants to make it easier for our community to get their recommended 30 minutes a day of exercise.
Since last month’s BCBS National Walk@ Lunch Day event was so successful, we decided to continue walking together. The Yards Walk Club meets at the gym every Tuesday at 12pm for a 30 minute walk. It’s open to everyone who wants to walk it out. Participants are welcome to use the locker rooms at The Yards free of charge. Membership is NOT necessary to participate.
The Yards Athletic Club is committed to helping folks achieve good health. We believe in the benefits of exercise and the power of community. We want to inspire everyone in the Historic West Bottoms to join us!
Wednesday, May 21st is National Employee Health & Fitness Day. To participate The Yards Athletic Club will be offering free blood pressure screenings at the gym from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. Visit our blog for updates on how Missouri is honoring this day.
