National Walk at Lunch day April 24
On Wednesday, April 24 at 11:00AM we will gather at The Yards Athletic Club and go for a BRISK – 30 minute walk around the Stockyards District. We will also utilize this time as opportunity to celebrate Earth Day 2019 by picking up any trash we see along our route.
Science has proven a brisk, 30-minute walk can help people * Decrease the risk of heart attack and type 2 diabetes * Maintain a healthy weight * Improve muscle tone * Reduce stress
With just 30 minutes and a pair of comfortable shoes, it’s possible for anyone to fit physical activity into a busy schedule. That’s the inspiration behind National Walk @ Lunch Day.
